Our resident glaucoma sub-specialist Dr Heathcote Wright has developed “Glauconet” to facilitate this co-management.
All necessary investigations including visual fields testing ,digital optic disc photography and ocular coherence tomography (OCT) are routinely performed on every patient referred with glaucoma.
Non-surgical procedures are performed on site , including laser procedures such as Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) or peripheral iridotomy (PI).
All glaucoma surgery is performed at Sunbury Day Hospital located at 7 Macedon Street, Sunbury. This includes the latest innovation in glaucoma surgery – the i’stent insertion which is performed at the time of cataract surgery.
